lovemydreams : yes I think this is a very fun experience to go in a country with a English population in particular for their... vocabulary and accent! Wink I think i will go in England or in U.S.A a day. My mother would like to go in Scotland. In the pas I was not interesting by this land I told at my mum "no we will not going in Scotland" but now I am... sorry? Yes sorry because I think that will be super for practice my accent and my vocabulary. But apparently the accent in Scotland is so difficult...

Melissa : Yeah why not. I will probably writing at you in PV for speak English. This is a good idea. ^^

Mam, Koushak,37 : But really you are too fun! O_O Why not do an humorist carrier? Wink Personally I love the chocolate :3.
But I hate the school and working because I am really not interesting by that.

So, I have a bad day today. With the rugby. Yeah, I hate Sport haha this is a really bad subject in the school. And my cat attacked me. I suppose I was naughty with him. And in 30 minutes I will go at my math particular subject.

Scratch is a character of the Age of Ice. I like this film, in particular the 3. But... scratch is too an application of mathematics. I hate that. Tongue But we use scratch sometimes at the school.

When I was kid my favorite dinosaur was the diplodocus but today it's Armeo.
I don't understand what is the real objective of this topic except to show the bad level of the French when they speak another language than theirs. It can be cool if we all correct each other to progress Tongue

If you're kind of butthurt and didn't actually want to get some feedback, do not read this. I'm serious. Otherwise, I love you!

Please note that I do not speak simplified (American) English, and that I might have made some mistakes myself.
Also, I don't study English with English classes, so don't ask me about rules or whatever, I don't have a clue about all that.

Spoiler! Afficher/Cacher

This last time, I have a very good strong passion for the English and I thank thought that was it would be good to make create/open a topic for talking in this to practise the language.
I want to progressing progress for have the and get to C2 level! (actually I am currently A1)
What do you think of, lak? Who are your favorites peoples? You're fine?
We will can talking of all can talk about any subjects.
You knowing Do you know of any interviews of stars in English? Because I'm starving of craving that. Big Grin
I so am also working on my accent, in particular on trying to have get the American accent because I have a preference for his it.
But a lot of my friends in my academy at school tell me I push TO on try too hard with my accent. Facepalm

Bye,

Choubi-choubi (In the past my pseudo was : "chialifeofcat")

(29-11-2017, 22:41)lovemydreams a écrit :  Ahaha Groovix !!! I got it all yay

Well well, pretty good idea !

But what would be much better for you to improve your level faster is would be to :
- watch series in english English with french subtittles French subtitles and then english subtittles English subtitles (final goal: no sub obviously Wink !) ,
- Spend at least one month in an english English speaking country, and avoid speaking french French during the whole journey.

But of course you can practice here as well too Wink

- Petite concordance des temps.
- cf. plus haut.

I don't know if that actually helps you in any way.... But maybe I can give you some advice on this.

Of course, as said by lovemydreams, a journey might make it easier and faster for you to master it, however, if you can't travel, it's okay, you can still learn by yourself, by binge-watching your favourite series juste just like lovemydreams said :3

It takes some time to get used to it, but I can assure you : it's totally worth it!
Do almost everything on the Internet in English...and listen to the news in English too! It helps.
And try to watch some YouTube videos in English and videos about with different accents : for example some of the British and American accents...And repeat the sentences you hear.
Sure, you need to know the grammar and all that, but if you want to be able to speak it as you think it (I mean by that : not translating in your head first, but getting to think in English) you'll have to do a lot of listening and repeating ! It's a lot of work, but it will come to you naturally !

I still make a lot of mistakes, but I managed manage to understand it quite effortlessly now because I'm so used to it.

So to answer your questions : I love Lak, I've been there for quite a while, but more as a sort of a...ghost around here, because I was too shy to talk with people on the forum.
And if you like interviews of stars, I suggest you watch the , Saturday Night Live,  Jimmy Fallon (USA), Graham Norton (UK), the late late show, the late show etc...
Do you know any of these?

- J'aurais inversé easier et faster pour conserver la structure "easier for you", plus régulière que "faster for you".
- Sinon juste une concordance des temps.

(30-11-2017, 10:30)Choubi-choubi a écrit :  Haha so fun funny. xD

Wow, I am surprised you have some vocabulary. O,o What's your level? For the series, I think i will see watch "South Park" on my computer, I don't know this series but some people tell she say it is so good. ^^ For the country, that will be probably difficult, because the next summer holidays we will go in are going to Austria and in France. Maybe a some day, i will have the luck chance to go in to Hollywood. *o* But that's not for the moment now.

Oh, my god, you too, you are so build in good at English. O_O I don't understand some works of the words in your messages. For, the grammar I make of do my best, but I'm so bad in the with French grammar, so, In English you don't imagine so with English you can guess.
Yeah! Me too, I make a lot of mistake mistakes, but for have a best to get to a better level I speak in English with my friends.
And for the interviews I no anything know none of your superstars! But I will go watching watch that after the school, because I am so interesting interested by the stars interview in English. c: But for example I listen to those of "Hunger game catsing" "The Hunger Games" cast or "Mika". So, I have a lot of nothers example other examples but I'm late for the school I have to run!!! Bye!

They say something, they tell me something.
- On va "to" quelque part, pas "in" : you are in France. you're going to England.
- "make of my best" c'est du français.
I'm sorry for doing that to you.

(30-11-2017, 13:37)lovemydreams a écrit :  Ahahaha you couldn't guess indeed. I would say I'm C1, I'm not bilingual yet,  but one day perhaps ! I spent a year in Canada before starting university, it really helped me a lot to improve myself Smile

You can watch as well the Simpson as well, I personnaly personally I prefer it !

Perhaps next year, even just a week-end weekend in London is a good start Wink

I really would have liked to speak would like to speak/would have liked speaking with people in English, I did not take any lessons I learned learnt alone. I'm still obliged I still have to speak in English all the time ... Well, I'm a real chatterbox so I will stop there.
Love

I don't have a good place I am not in a good position to talk about your mistakes because I have a so such a bad level too. Tongue

To make something c'est fabriquer/préparer quelque chose, ou bien des exceptions comme "make an effort".
- To be in a position to = être en position de/pour

- Petite question de structure.
- Le "a" de "another" donne déjà un contexte de comparaison, donc le "than theirs" est superflu.

Some interesting resources:

- The Urban Dictionary, a naughty dictionary, open to everyone. If you're looking for slang/insults, it's in there.
- Thesaurus.com, a thesaurus, helpful when you're writing and want to avoid repetitions.
- WordReference, a bilingual dictionary and The Oxford Dictionaries for English only. Sometimes you don't need to translate the word to understand its definition.
- Linguee, a special translation service which uses exisiting texts, meaning the translations are in context.

Haha, you make me laugh, it's true that some smart little ones had to use google translation, but you have to be careful because their translations are often very wrong. After that, it is true that sometimes google translation can be useful ..... Armeo, you should work on the translation google, I think, or English teacher. In my "school", they make some mistakes of conjugation in English, then you would be invited to correct their pdf before putting them on line, they are really bad in verification xD I am without hope, I made an evaluation where, and I should have had a 17/20 but because of their habit of making mistakes, I had a 14. But hey, when I write quickly (as I do now) I make some mistakes. Well that's all for me!

Hello

I live for those links.
I use Wordreference all the time when I'm reading, and if I remember well, my teachers were living for this website as well.
Btw I just want to add that the title of the topic should be "This topic is for speaking English" because it's an ongoing action. Actually I don't know sh*t about how the tenses work so I can't explain why, it just seems more relevant to me.

ANYWAY let's correct each other in a good and nice way, just like Senpai did, and every one of us should learn better Love
(go ahead Senpai it's your cue )

xoxo
Koushkoush

(alright I know it's not a letter but I wanted to send kisses anyway Tongue )

PS : it's 7:48am so take what I said with a pinch of salt, I'm tired as f*ck
